The Business Operations Manager provides business operations and project management support to the GDO Business Operations team, managing contracts, purchase orders, supporting various internal systems and reporting requirements, Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) operational support as well as special initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed.

responsibilities:
- Liaising with R&D/GDO functions, providing operational and administrative support for the DMC/IRC activities (completing forms, data collection, Medispend system support, QC of draft charters, drafting and uploading meeting minutes, scheduling of meetings, etc.)
- Act as SME and point of contact for Medispend/GEARS (HCP/HCE engagement system) ensuring correct usage, resolving issues, and training support
- GDO super user to support Procurement Experience Agent model and new Contract system (act as SME and point of contact for processing & managing requests)
- Support HCP Transparency reporting: GDO monthly & quarterly reporting to ensure compliance
- Manage Business Operations central mailboxes to support PI Review process and all HCP Consultant Contracting & Engagement requests (initiating/managing contracts, purchase orders)
- Proficient in Sharepoint to support creation and regular maintenance across GCDO sites to ensure accuracy and relevance of content
- Cross-functional support for special projects to support strategic & ad hoc initiatives across Business Operations (e.g. Playbook review coordination/updates; GDO Resourcing Trackers data entry, quality checks, excel reporting and analysis support; FSP administrative support)
- Uses appropriate tools for required work including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point to track, analyze, document and report data
- Interfaces and communicates with internal and external customers; connects people to the appropriate resources
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, or 6 plus years equivalent combination of training and experience in lieu of degree.
- Basic knowledge of the drug development process; 1-2 years of experience in Clinical Development and pharmaceutical industry-specific experience is highly preferred.
- Strong PC literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify more complex issues that require escalation for resolution
- Fully understands the importance of data integrity and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to independently pursue and follow-up on assignments and issues through completion
- Detail orientation with the demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Demonstrates well-developed administrative / project organizational skills
