responsibilities:
- Conduct routine experimental protocols and procedures in the wet lab.
- Maintain tissue culture, including stem cells and stem cell-derived cells.
- Accurately record experimental setups, SOP protocols, and data quality control.
- Support extended hiPSC differentiation protocols, requiring daily attention.
- Perform molecular and cell biology experiments such as qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence, and Western blot analyses.
- Maintain efficient and continuous communication with the manager and team members.
- Support team members with routine cell culture procedures, including media preparation and reagent aliquoting.
qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in biochemistry or molecular cell biology.
- At least three years of independent hands-on laboratory experience.
- Trained and experienced in using aseptic techniques in a laminar flow biosafety cabinet.
- Significant cell culture expertise, including maintenance, freezing, thawing, and passaging.
- Proficiency in biochemical assays such as Western blot or WES, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry.
- Skilled in molecular biology techniques such as RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and RT-qPCR.
- Knowledge of serial dilution and calculation of solution concentration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized in planning long experimental protocols (may sometimes require working on weekends).
- Experience with culturing human iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cells).
- Experience with differentiating iPSC into brain cell types.
