- Sensory Technician supports the Innovation Sensory Insights team by executing sensory and consumer research activities. This position requires a detail-oriented and hands-on approach and is ideal for an individual who is passionate about food and beverage product experience and comfortable working in a lab environment that supports a high volume of testing across multiple, often complex projects.

responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sensory kitchen and lab areas.
- Prepare supplies for daily tastings (e.g., food, beverages, utensils, ballots).
- Ensure all equipment and materials are ready for scheduled evaluations.
- Assist in the setup and execution of internal sensory panels and informal tastings.
- Support product preparation and presentation for consumer testing.
- Help coordinate logistics for both on-site and external sensory studies.
- Record and organize panelist feedback and test results.
- Collaborate with scientists and technicians to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Adhere to good laboratory practices and internal quality standards.
qualifications:
Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in food science, sensory evaluation, or lab operations preferred
- Prior experience working with sensory software is a plus (e.g. Eye Quesiton, Fizz, Compusense, Red Jade)
