responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory equipment and chemical inventories, including coordinating periodic clean-outs.
- Maintain laboratories in a clean, safe, and functioning state, implementing efficiency principles (e.g., 5S).
- Coordinate routine and periodic maintenance for department shared instruments (like UPLC's and LCMS's) and specialized equipment (isolators).
- Organize and assist in the relocation of laboratory equipment during ongoing renovations.
- Develop work aids for operating equipment and train new lab users on proper procedures.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and coordinate supplies (e.g., PPE) within specialized potent labs.
qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Demonstrated Pharmaceutical Lab experience.
- Experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Safety-Oriented mindset.
- Working knowledge of HPLC is highly desirable.
- "Handy" person who can use tools and assist with assembling equipment.
