We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Trial Contracts and Budget Negotiator to join our client's team for a 1-year, fully remote contingent role. This position is critical for supporting a clinical study start-up and conduct activities by managing the end-to-end process for clinical site contracts.
The ideal candidate has recent (within the last 3 years) and proven experience actively negotiating various clinical trial contract types (CTAs, CDAs, Master Agreements, etc.) and their associated budgets. You must be comfortable taking the lead in negotiations, not simply acting as a liaison, and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
This role requires a full-time commitment during company working hours, and candidates must not be concurrently employed elsewhere. Experience working in fast-paced, high-turnover environments is a plus.
Test scores in Excel and Word will be required as part of the submission process.

responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Clinical Site Contracts: Manage the end-to-end process for clinical site contracts, including drafting, negotiation, execution, amendment, and termination throughout the study lifecycle.
- Actively Negotiate Site Budgets: Independently negotiate clinical site budgets using base budgets and payment milestones, ensuring alignment with appropriate guidelines.
- Conduct Contract Negotiations: Negotiate various clinical site contract types (i.e., Clinical Trial Agreements, Disclosure Agreements, Service Agreements) with sites, participating in site/legal/finance meetings as required to resolve complex issues.
- Issue Resolution and Escalation: Proactively support the resolution of contract and budget issues, escalating concerns appropriately to legal or management when necessary.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Maintain accurate tracking of contract progression in appropriate systems and ensure all executed contracts and budgets are stored and archived correctly.
- Support Study Finance: Support the Clinical Pricing & Payments Group by setting up sites for payment following contract execution.
qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Recent Contract Negotiation experience (within the last 3 years) actively participating in contract and budget negotiation in a clinical trial setting.
- Demonstrated experience with active/involved negotiation of various clinical trial contract types (e.g., Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA), Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), Master Agreements).
- Proven experience in negotiating site budgets from base budget and payment milestones.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, with a core focus on Excel and Word. (Note: Test scores in Excel and Word will be required.)
