The Analytical Development team is seeking a highly self-motivated analytical chemist to join us for a 12-month contract. This role will support analytical method development for small molecule and oligonucleotide programs. This position requires expertise in analytical chemistry and extensive experience in analytical techniques such as LC, LC-MS, GC, and GC-MS. The position also requires adequate knowledge of organic chemistry or pharmaceutical science. Hands-on experience with high resolution mass spectroscopy (HRMS) and prep LC would be a plus.

responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and document experiments under guidance.
- Optimize analytical method conditions for LC and GC, coupled with MS and other detectors.
- Perform sample testing, analyze data, interpret results, and document results.
- Troubleshoot analytical and instrumentation issues.
- Draft technical reports and protocols.
- Participate in relevant meetings to learn advancements in analytical technologies for small a and oligonucleotide therapeutics.
qualifications:
Required:
- MS in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceutical science, and other relevant fields.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment with basic lab skills, such as pipetting, solution preparation, centrifugation, filtration, etc.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with LC-MS and GC-MS instrumentation, along with new method development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strong motivation to learn.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as office software and data management platform
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- PhD ideally in analytical chemistry, but organic chemistry, pharmaceutical science, and other relevant fields would also be preferred.
- Experience with HRMS and prep LC.
- Experience with ChemStation.
