Job Description: QA Document Control Specialist (Part-Time Contract)

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance team is seeking a highly focused and reliable QA Document Control Specialist to drive a critical initiative: the conversion of physical production documentation to a digital platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring data integrity, traceability, and accessibility as our organization scales.
You will be working in a dynamic, open-office environment in Morrisville, interfacing with a diverse group of stakeholders ranging from administrative staff to senior leadership. This role reports to a QA Manager based in Northern California; therefore, the ideal candidate must be self-sufficient, conscientious, and able to perform with excellence under remote supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Conversion: Systematically scan, file, and organize physical QA and production documents into a new electronic database, ensuring high-quality digital records.
- Tracking & Organization: Accurately track documentation progress to support production metrics, ensuring all files are accounted for and easily retrievable.
- Quality & Accuracy: Review documents for clarity, completeness, and accuracy during the digitization process, adhering to strict Quality Assurance standards.
- Collaboration: Interface effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Administrative Support: Assist the QA team with general filing and information management tasks as required.
- Laser Focus: Ability to maintain high concentration and attention to detail in a busy, open-office environment with frequent background noise/activity.
- Self-Sufficiency: Must be self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively with remote management oversight. Trustworthiness and reliability are imperative.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with leadership and a diverse team.
- Social Responsibility: A collaborative attitude with a high degree of professionalism and respect for colleagues.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with office scanning equipment and electronic document management systems is highly desired.
- Location: Must be local to Morrisville, NC. This position is 100% on-site (No hybrid options available).
- Flexibility: 20 hours per week. We offer a flexible schedule of either 5 days (4 hours/day) or 4 days (5 hours/day).
- Growth: While this contract begins as a part-time role through June 30th, there is a strong likelihood of extension. The requirements of this role will likely increase regarding duration, responsibilities, and hours per week based on performance and project needs.
