responsibilities:
- Landscape Research: Conduct deep-dive literature reviews and secondary research on disease areas, mechanisms of action, and competitive pipelines.
- Opportunity Screening: Support the triage and assessment of inbound innovation opportunities and maintain data integrity in tracking systems.
- Diligence Support: Gather and synthesize publicly available clinical data, regulatory statuses, and trial designs for potential assets.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Prepare target summaries and competitor snapshots for internal review meetings with R&D and Corporate Development.
- Strategic Reporting: Develop high-quality slide decks and dashboards to communicate risks, assessments, and open questions to stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and report on external market trends and enabling tools that could inform future licensing or collaboration.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Education
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology), Biomedical Engineering, or an MBA student with a completed Life Science undergraduate degree.
- Scientific Literacy: Foundational understanding of biology/biochemistry and the ability to interpret preclinical and clinical trial data.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in synthesizing complex data into clear insights using spreadsheets and comparison frameworks.
- Communication: Proven ability to produce concise memos and professional presentation slides for diverse audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Industry Knowledge: Prior coursework or internship experience in drug development, competitive intelligence, or biotech business.
- Research Tools: Familiarity with literature databases (e.g., PubMed) and public clinical trial registries (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov).
