responsibilities:
- Execute high-throughput, scale-down robotic purification for early and late-stage process development and viral clearance studies.
- Develop robust, economical steps for recovering target proteins from bioreactor harvests using chromatography and filtration.
- Perform laboratory-scale process characterization and continuous process improvement to support downstream technology transfers.
- Conduct diverse bioanalytical assays, including HPLC, ELISA, and SDS-PAGE, to provide rapid feedback for process optimization.
- Manage comprehensive data acquisition, analysis, and documentation within electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
- Provide technical support for pilot and GMP manufacturing of clinical materials as required.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovative methods for purification processes.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Education
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with 0-2 years of experience; OR a Master's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong biological scientific understanding and theoretical knowledge of protein chemistry.
- Hands-on experience with chromatography and filtration for biologics purification.
- Proven ability to document experiments in electronic lab notebooks and communicate results effectively.
- Experience with bioanalytical assays and methods (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE).
- Prior corporate or internship experience within a biopharmaceutical environment.
- Direct experience with high-throughput robotics or automated purification systems.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting with hands-on technical skills.
