responsibilities:
- Chemical Analysis: Perform complex testing on raw ingredients, intermediates, water, and final products to ensure total quality compliance.
- Equipment Management: Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain sophisticated instrumentation (GC/MS, etc.) to ensure peak performance.
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct audits to meet internal Quality Systems and external certification standards, managing chemical disposal and lab safety protocols.
- Validation & Auditing: Develop and validate analytical methods, performing data audits and statistical process control to guarantee the accuracy of results.
- Formula Management: Utilize the Formula Management System to track ingredient properties, identify inconsistencies, and generate technical reports.
qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field (equivalent work experience also considered).
- Experience: 1+ years of professional laboratory experience (not open to current undergraduate students).
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in GC and GC/MS analytical techniques.
- Scientific Knowledge: Strong understanding of organic chemistry (essential oils/flavor compounds) and inorganic substances (acidulants, buffers, etc.).
- Software: Experience with Formula Management Systems and data auditing tools.
