responsibilities:
- Execute Process Development: Optimize and perform hands-on process development for new and innovative dermal filler formulations.
- Scale-Up Operations: Support the transition of products from small-scale R&D environments to full commercial manufacturing scales.
- Lab Equipment Management: Set up, troubleshoot, and modify lab equipment-specifically mixing impellers and reactors-to ensure experiment reliability.
- Analytical Testing: Perform rigorous analytical testing and rheological characterization to generate high-quality scientific data.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct technical investigations for post-launch commercial issues and support technical transfers between manufacturing sites.
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and modeling principles to analyze experimental results and formulate data-driven conclusions.
- Collaborative Communication: Translate complex scientific findings into clear, actionable summaries for both technical peers and non-scientific stakeholders.
qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Lab Experience: Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience (equivalent to 1-2 years of undergraduate research or dedicated lab coursework).
- Equipment Proficiency: Fundamental ability to troubleshoot, design, or optimize mechanical/lab equipment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Software/Analysis: Exposure to data analysis software and a basic understanding of process chemistry or modeling/simulation principles.
- Materials Science: Specific experience working with hydrogels, polymers, or cross-linking chemistry.
- Rheology: Practical experience with rheological techniques for characterizing gels and fluids.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Experience diagnosing bench-top process issues or suggesting mechanical modifications to mixing equipment.
- Statistical Tools: Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab) or modeling tools.
