responsibilities:
- Experimental Support: Assist in the execution of complex experimental strategies to validate mechanical brewer components and beverage delivery systems.
- Fixture Development: Design and build custom bench-top test fixtures to support precise measurements and the automation of repetitive experiments.
- Data Acquisition & Automation: Program and utilize microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino) and data acquisition systems to facilitate automated testing and high-fidelity data collection.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous, organized records of all laboratory activities, experimental data, and technical formulas using Microsoft Office and specialized software.
- Laboratory Safety: Operate responsibly within a fast-paced R&D environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a positive, inclusive environment by building trust with engineering and innovation teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Operational Agility: Demonstrate resilience and adaptability when responding to shifting business priorities and evolving project needs.
qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Associate degree in a scientific or engineering field (B.S. preferred).
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a technical, mechanical, or laboratory environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience setting up data acquisition systems.
- Communication: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to a multidisciplinary team.
- Mindset: A proactive collaborator who enjoys a team-based, R&D culture.
- Automation: Hands-on experience programming microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino) to facilitate test automation.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with National Instruments (NI) data acquisition hardware and software.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Prior experience in mechanical design, fluidics, or electromechanical hardware testing.
