Responsibilities
• Generate sales by responding to customer requests for quotation (RFQs) in a timely manner.
• Offer pricing in accordance with standard procedures and customer profitability profiles.
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to offer appropriate products and/or
solutions.
• Provide the customer with accurate information regarding product availability.
• Where appropriate, recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or
specifications.
• Accurately process customer transactions such as Sales Quotations and Sales Orders.
• Work closely with the Purchasing Team to determine when products are due to arrive.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Team to ensure products are packed and delivered to
customers in accordance with their individual preferences.
• Increase sales by means of cross-selling and up-selling.
• Analyse customer purchasing patterns and sales history.
• Maintain a high level of product and regional market knowledge.
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any
complaints.
