Responsibilities
- Driver Check-In: Manage the receiving window, greeting truck drivers upon arrival and collecting all necessary transport paperwork.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately capture appointment information and input data into Blue Yonder and Opendoc systems.
- Dock Management: Assign drivers to specific doors/bays for unloading based on facility capacity and priority.
- Communication Hub: Act as the liaison between drivers and the internal team; clearly communicate requirements to drivers and escalate potential delays or issues to management.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential bottlenecks in the receiving process before they become issues to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
- Experience: 0–3 years in a customer service or administrative role. Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation is highly preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams). Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like Blue Yonder or scheduling software like Opendoc is a major plus.
- Communication: Must be comfortable and confident interacting directly with truck drivers in a high-traffic window environment.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to handle an "ever-changing" environment where priorities shift rapidly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry to prevent downstream errors in inventory or scheduling.
