Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly general ledger and investment holdings reconciliations.
- Compile and analyze internal and external financial reports and disclosures.
- Prepare financial statements, including GAAP and Statutory investment schedules.
- Reconcile financial data with enterprise data warehouse systems.
- Assist in creating regulatory filings in compliance with applicable standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting processes.
- Occasionally lead or direct the work of junior team members.
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services or insurance sectors.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, and complex data analysis tools.
- CPA preferred but not required, depending on experience.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
