Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing process and support equipment, including electrical components (e.g., MCCs, inverters, motors) and control systems (e.g., PLCs, robotics), ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Execute preventive and condition-based maintenance plans, including inspections, repairs, schematic updates, and support for process improvement initiatives.
- Lead complex equipment repairs, mentor junior electricians, and support system upgrades through advanced diagnostics and PLC programming.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices including LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work, PIT, Fall Protection, and Hoisting & Rigging; proficiency with calculator/computer use for documentation and parts requisitioning.
- Skilled in electrical measurement techniques and tools such as process calibrators, oscilloscopes, IR cameras, and data loggers; ability to perform calculations involving current, voltage, and unit conversions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and update mechanical/electrical schematics; advanced knowledge of NEC, e-stop systems, and troubleshooting/programming PLCs, drives, controllers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
