In this vital role, you'll work directly with a senior auditor, using established auditing methods to pinpoint coding and documentation discrepancies. Your work will be key in developing detailed reports that bolster robust revenue cycle and compliance programs. Responsibilities

• Assist in audit preparation, including gathering medical records, billing data, and policy documents
• Conduct initial reviews of medical charts and billing statements for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to coding guidelines (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II) and documentation standards specific to FQHC, RHC, and Private Practice settings
• Identify common coding errors, documentation deficiencies (e.g., missing elements, lack of medical necessity support), and basic billing discrepancies
• Accurately collect and organize audit data, such as code discrepancies, payment variations, and compliance risks
• Understand and apply federal and state healthcare regulations (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, OIG guidance) and payer-specific policies relevant to auditing
