What You'll Bring:
- Current and active Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA®) credential from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
- We'll also consider audit certifications from other qualified organizations.

Responsibilities
- Assist in audit preparation, including gathering medical records, billing data, and policy documents
- Conduct initial reviews of medical charts and billing statements for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to coding guidelines (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II) and documentation standards specific to FQHC, RHC, and Private Practice settings
- Identify common coding errors, documentation deficiencies (e.g., missing elements, lack of medical necessity support), and basic billing discrepancies
- Accurately collect and organize audit data, such as code discrepancies, payment variations, and compliance risks
- Understand and apply federal and state healthcare regulations (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, OIG guidance) and payer-specific policies relevant to auditing
