Responsibilities
- Generate and send accurate invoices to customers for goods or services rendered.
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for invoices (e.g., purchase orders, sales orders, shipping confirmations).
- Handle special billing situations and custom payment plans.
- Process and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit cards, wire transfers) accurately to customer accounts.
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile cash receipts.
- Investigate and resolve unallocated cash balances.
- Initiate timely follow-up with customers on past-due invoices via phone, email, and mail.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and develop recovery systems for delinquent accounts.
- Document collection status and communication efforts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger with the general ledger and bank statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts and billing records.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers to resolve billing issues and facilitate timely payments.
