Summary:
Provides travel accounting services for the organization; advises assigned groups on policies, procedures and regulatory requirements related to employee travel and expenses. Provides training for employees about travel policies, required system input, and process workflow. Ensures travel expenses are processed in compliance with policies, procedures, guidelines and government regulations.

Responsibilities
● Audits and processes employee expenses in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with documented policies, procedures and guidelines; analyzes and monitors travel expenses to ensure compliance with company and government regulations; prepares document batches for processing; collects outstanding travel advances
● Prepares all required documents, gathers all supporting documentation, and ensures appropriate approval to prepare, calculate, and process transactions; audits for required use tax accruals and calculates tax amount; determines if gift reporting is required or if additional event restrictions apply; performs data entry to update database and/or spreadsheet information; completes relevant logs, forms, journal vouchers, and prepares all supporting documentation required to process each transaction; ensures appropriate review and approval is received before completing or routing transactions to the next phase of processing
● Communicates with internal and external customers both orally and in writing related to employee expense reports; provides training for employees about travel policies, required system input, and process workflow; works with team members and/or other departments to resolve discrepancies and audit questionable transactions; completes work sheets or submits action requests to team members and other departments to correct discrepancies
