Responsibilities
- Design & Development:
- Design and engineer production tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and dies in accordance with military specifications (e.g., MIL-STD).
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to develop tools that optimize production processes.
- Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) to model tooling solutions.

- Process Support:
- Provide hands-on support to machining, assembly, and fabrication operations to resolve tooling-related issues.
- Lead tooling improvement initiatives to reduce setup time, increase tool life, and enhance production throughput.

- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all tooling designs and modifications comply with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Create and maintain documentation such as drawings, tooling specifications, and technical instructions.

- Procurement & Vendor Liaison:
- Work with procurement to source tooling materials and components.
- Manage relationships with external tooling suppliers and fabricators to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
