Our client, a local manufacturer of a global product is rapidly growing at an estimated 12% this year.  They are seeking a controller to be able to oversee 3 direct reports.  Prior leadership experience is required.  This is an onsite role located SW Charlotte, and all applicants must reside local and be willing to to to the office daily.  Ideally, the client would love to be able to see someone that also has a little bit of construction industry background.  Benefits start after 30 days of employment.  

salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting,
and Revenue Recognition.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support strategic
decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable financial regulations and laws.
• Maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate
financial reporting.
• Supervise and manage the finance team, providing mentorship and performance
management.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital needs to ensure financial stability.
• Support tax planning and filing processes in collaboration with tax advisors.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency.
• Partner with leadership to support business planning, strategic initiatives, and operational
improvements.
