We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who will report directly to the CFO and handle all of the daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling the full accounting cycle, from daily transactions to month-end close, capable of streamlining processes and contributing to the company's financial health.  

salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Handle all day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurately stated and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances.
• Oversee inventory valuations, including cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, obsolescence reserves, and physical inventory counts/reconciliations.
• Analyze and accurately calculate landing costs for imported goods, ensuring all associated expenses are properly allocated.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business objectives.
• Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
