Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Perform and supervise month-end close activities
- Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries (e.g., prepaids, accruals)
- Complete P&L, Balance Sheet, and general ledger account analysis
- Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Finance and Operations
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
- Lead documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Manage various corporate accounting functions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with corporate accounting and payroll journal entries
- Exposure to lease and debt accounting
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- CPA license or public accounting experience
- Familiarity with systems such as Oracle, HFM, Blackline, Coupa, and Close Manager
- Experience in the logistics or transportation industry
