In this dynamic role, you'll provide vital travel accounting services and ensure every expense is processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and government regulations. You'll be a key resource, providing training and support to employees, identifying trends, and helping us build a world-class travel and expense program.
Manager's Notes:
Expense report auditor concur, auditing ER flagged for possible audit or risk. Communication is huge - will communicate with AAs, execs, teams, telephone, email, internal employee. Travel and entertainment experience preferred.
Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days at home but for training, full time in office for first 2 weeks. Will be able take laptop home on hybrid days.
40 hours week, flexible hours 7-4, latest 8:30
Could go Temp to Hire but right now it is to replace someone going on medical leave mid august

Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
- Audit and Process with Precision: Accurately and timely process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with all documented policies, procedures, guidelines, and government regulations.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Work with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and audit questionable transactions.
- Communicate and Train: Serve as a subject matter expert, communicating with internal and external customers to resolve issues and providing training on travel policies and system input.
- Analyze and Advise: Maintain a database of expense reports, analyze data to identify training needs, and advise management of trends and exceptions.
- Manage and Maintain Records: Prepare all required documents, gather supporting documentation, and maintain effective and accurate electronic or manual filing systems.
- Ensure Compliance: Audit for required use tax accruals, determine if gift reporting is necessary, and ensure all transactions have appropriate review and approval.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures related to accounts payable, travel, and sales tax application.
- General understanding of basic accounting concepts and terminology.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
