Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Create and send out accurate invoices to clients for completed work, track all payments, and follow up on any outstanding or past-due accounts.
- Job Costing and Reporting: Monitor and track project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses. Prepare regular reports to help project managers and senior leadership understand the financial status of each job.
- General Ledger and Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, or monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements. Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting and reviewing journal entries.
- Financial Reporting and Audits: Help prepare financial statements and reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Assist with year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain an organized and secure filing system for all financial documents, both physical and digital.
- Sales and Use Tax: Assist with preparing and filing sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
