The Role You'll Contribute:
As the Director of Managed Care, you will play a crucial role as the primary contact in managed care opportunities, negotiating contracts, and providing resolutions related to healthcare payers. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to meet the healthcare needs of the community through strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and updates.

Responsibilities
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Maintain positive relationships with local and corporate leadership, managed care organizations, and local employers.
- Facilitate the understanding of managed care contracts and terms within the hospital departments, urgent care, home health, physician practices, and any other related legal entity.
- Continually re-evaluate managed care contracts, analyzing for market share, strategic opportunities, profitability, and competitiveness.
- Negotiate contract language terms and rates timely and when appropriate.
- Monitor the financial, operational, and strategic impact of each managed care relationship to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with each billing department on managed care claim issues.
- Work with and assist the CFO with operational or special projects, which include the annual budget templates and market summary overviews.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration in healthcare-related field strongly preferred.
- A minimum of five years of healthcare leadership experience is required in managed care with an emphasis on contracting, contract administration, and strategic planning for hospital, ancillary, and physician services
