Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 65 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Benefits Administration: Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations; answer employee benefit-related questions.
- Workers’ Compensation: File and track workers’ compensation claims, coordinate with insurance providers, and support return-to-work programs.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain safety programs and training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and resolution in line with company policies.
- HR Compliance: Maintain employee files, I-9 documentation, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, screening, and onboarding new hires as needed.
- General HR Support: Collaborate with management on HR initiatives and provide administrative support for various HR functions.
- 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi-functional role
- bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- strong knowledge of payroll processing (ADP, Paychex, or similar systems preferred)
- Experience with safety programs and workers’ compensation claims
