- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development and sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience within the contract furniture, interior design, commercial construction, or a related B2B industry is highly preferred.
- Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans that have resulted in significant revenue growth.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team to exceed targets.
- Experience in training and mentoring staff is essential.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior-level executives and clients.
- Financial Knowledge: strong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive substantial revenue growth, focusing on new markets, client segments, and product lines.
- Sales and Account Management: Increase sales opportunities by taking over key accounts and fostering strong relationships within the architectural and design (A&D) community. Handle incoming inquiries from customers in territories not currently covered by sales staff
- Team Development and Training: Assist in the interviewing and hiring of future sales personnel. Take a primary role in their training, support, and ongoing professional development.
- Project Oversight: Oversee significant projects, working with the Project Manager to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's specifications
- Market Expansion: Identify and target new markets for future growth. Work with existing manufacturers and vendors to locate new sources and strengthen our product offerings for current and new markets.
- Marketing and Branding: Assist in developing and maintaining a marketing plan to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to inform strategic decisions
- Brand Ambassador: Represent company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- High-Level Sales: Lead the sales cycle for key accounts, from initial contact and relationship building to proposal development and contract negotiation.
