- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a senior manager or director role.
- Proven experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and leave regulations in Florida and Jacksonville.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints.
- Leave Management and Compliance: Oversee the administration of all employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state/local leave laws. Coordinate with employees and managers to ensure proper documentation, communication, and compliance with all legal and policy requirements.
- Performance Management: Support managers in the performance review process and provide guidance on performance improvement plans
- HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, and clearly communicated to staff.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, short-term/long-term disability, and paid time off.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: This involves looking at the organization's mission and goals and then forecasting what kind of talent will be needed in the future to achieve those goals. This includes identifying skill gaps, planning for future hiring, and ensuring the organization has a pipeline of talent for key roles.
