An information services comany is looking for an Accountant to join their team. After 15 years of service, their current Accountant is retiring and they need someone to fill the shoes. Above and beyond 2 years of experience as an Accountant, we are looking for somone with the following: 

• High level of confidentiality required.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• strong math skills and proficient, practical, and theoretical knowledge of accounting and financial software. 
• Excellent problem-solving, and time management skills.  High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment. 
• Ability to build relationships with vendors and internal departments.
• Analytical Ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet & general ledger accounts.
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable including ACH drafts, revenue share payments, expense reimbursement program, company credit cards, shareholder quarterly distributions, income tax payments, bi-monthly contractor payments, and 1099’s.
• Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets, projections and forecasting.
• Oversee hardware inventory tracking and capital additions, disposals, depreciation, and property tax returns.
• Handle all aspects of sales & use taxes including preparing state returns and monitoring state laws to ensure we adhere to requirements for each state based on our service.
• Ensure proper state reporting related to new hires, payroll, annual reports, income taxes and registered agents, when required.
• Responsible for reporting inefficiencies and errors and suggesting process improvements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
