- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll tax experience
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and multi-jurisdictional tax requirements
- Experience with multi-state and multi-company payroll environments
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with Workday payroll module
- Experience working with ADP and third-party payroll tax service providers

Responsibilities
- Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, sharing relevant updates and recommendations with the broader team.
- Resolve employee tax-related inquiries and cases within defined SLAs, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to internal policies.
- Analyze payroll and employee data for accuracy in tax withholding and reporting; identify issues and propose corrective actions.
- Manage agency tax notices and tracers in collaboration with external providers and government agencies.
- Perform jurisdictional tax reconciliations to support internal and external audits.
- Generate ad hoc reports to support payroll and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct system testing to verify correct implementation of tax-related updates and changes.
- Audit and validate payroll tax filings and deposits submitted by third-party providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with third-party providers to manage quarter-end and year-end processes.
- Support earnings and tax adjustments related to expatriate and inpatriate employees.
- Respond to service desk tickets (e.g., via ServiceNow) while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Prior experience supporting expatriate/inpatriate payroll tax matters
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Communication and interpersonal skills
