Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of all benefit programs, including health, dental, life, disability, retirement plans, COBRA, and leave of absence policies.
- Ensure all plans comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
- Lead the annual open enrollment process and ensure accurate benefits deductions.
- Conduct regular compliance audits on all benefit programs and plan documents.
- Participate in compensation surveys to analyze competitive salary data and determine the company’s market position.
- Provide expertise in job evaluation, market pricing, and compensation systems to support the Human Resources Director.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on job offers.
- Support annual compensation cycles, including market pricing exercises and salary increases.
- Develop guidelines for managers to create accurate job descriptions, including FLSA, salary grade, and EEO coding.
- Develop communication materials to help employees understand plan updates and changes.
- Serve as an escalation point for employee benefits and compensation questions, providing clear policy interpretations and resolving pay issues.
- Monitor benefit plan expenditures and claims experience to identify trends and recommend ways to minimize financial risk.
