Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatching: Coordinate and dispatch drivers and carriers for daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring routes are optimized for efficiency and on-time performance.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams, providing clear instructions and real-time updates on shipment status.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise, such as delivery delays, vehicle breakdowns, and unforeseen road closures, to minimize disruptions.
- Administrative Support: Accurately enter and manage data in our transportation management system (TMS), maintain shipment records, and prepare necessary documents like bills of lading.
- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly, working to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Monitoring: Track the status of all shipments and routes using GPS and logistics software to maintain visibility and control over the supply chain.
