Responsibilities

- Minimum of 3 years of professional event planning including direct experience with supplier negotiation and contracting (or hotel catering/convention services) experience with a financial industry background preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate event supplier negotiation and contracting
- Experience using CVENT Event Management Software for Venue Sourcing
- xperience working in highly regulated, fast-paced working environment requiring management of multiple programs at one time.
- Proven aptitude for technology and/or software solutions and analytical skills.
- Polished verbal/oral communication skills.
- Provides input to and has the ability to articulate business strategy and group goals.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both internally within the organization and externally with suppliers and partners
- Business/financial acumen and Experience in negotiations in a business environment.
- Provable supplier relationship management skills, including the ability to foster and leverage professional relationships in a cooperative and collaborative manner
- Ability to identify and solve complex contractual process and operational business challenges
- Clear understanding of meeting supplier business, including financial drivers and competencies
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) Designation a plus
