A well-established construction company on the Southside of Jacksonville is hiring an Accounting Administrative Assistant to support their accounting and project teams. This role is perfect for someone with experience in construction admin/accounting who’s comfortable handling lien releases, permitting, and project financials while keeping everything organized and on track.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and process lien releases/waivers
- Assist with permitting documentation and tracking
- Support AP/AR (invoices, reconciliations, coding)
- Maintain accurate job cost reports and records
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors
salary: $22 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Prepare, track, and process lien waivers and releases in compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with construction permitting, including preparing documentation, submitting applications, and tracking approvals.
- Support accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, coding, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate project financial records and job cost reports.
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure timely receipt of required documents and payments.
- Organize and file contracts, purchase orders, permits, and related project documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting and project management teams as needed.
- 2+ years of accounting/administrative experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with lien releases, permitting processes, and construction documentation.
- strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
