We are seeking a dedicated and seasoned Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations at our clients site in Lawrenceburg, TN. Our client manufactures 48' and 53' 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and automotive shipping racks. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Knowledge regarding the operations of a metal fabrication shop.
• Experienced leading a team of 40-50 direct reports.
• Experienced with Mig welding. 
• Solid understanding of OSHA requirements. 
• Prior experience and knowledge of 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and/or automotive shipping racks manufacturing would be a MAJOR asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 50+ shop employees (welders, painters, assemblers, department leads, machine operators, etc.)
• Oversee the entire production process for 48'-53' 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and automotive shipping racking ensuring efficient and quality output.
• Develop and implement production schedules, manage inventory of raw materials and finished products, and ensure efficient workflow. 
• Establish and maintain a quality control inspection system, monitor production processes, and implement corrective actions to address defects. 
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production capacity. 
• Train and supervise employees, ensuring a safe and productive work environment. 
• Develop equipment maintenance schedules, and ensure proper machine uptime. 
• Work with other departments to ensure seamless production.
• Orchestrate daily assignments to assure timely completion to meet production schedules. 
• Set up machines and raw materials for each product according to specifications.
