Are you a highly experienced Physician Compliance Auditor with a passion for provider education and a knack for auditing? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team for a 90-day contract-to-hire position. Position Details:
- Employment Type: 90-Day Contract to Hire (Temp to Perm)

- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $40/hour
What You'll Do:
As a key member of our compliance team, you'll go beyond standard auditing to serve as a resource and educator for our providers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Audits: Perform annual chart audits in your area of expertise, identifying areas of risk and formulating clear recommendations.
- Provider Education: Develop and deliver educational curriculum for providers and staff on medical record documentation and coding guidelines.
- Consulting & Support: Act as a coding compliance resource and consultant for physicians, administrators, and staff across the organization. You'll also mentor and cross-train other Physician Coding Auditors.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed compliance reports to the compliance committee.
- Special Projects: Take on various special projects to support the compliance department's initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in provider education and auditing.
- One of the following certifications is required: CPC, CCS, or RHIT. (Please ensure your resume includes this certification.)
- Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Proven ability to research compliance and coding topics efficiently and accurately.
- Experience with Epic is highly preferred.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to comfortably explain complex compliance issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
1. Perform annual chart audits (mostly in their areas of expertise) and formulate recommendations based upon the audit findings and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
2. Implement annual coding reviews and ensure that compliance issues and areas of risk are identified and addressed.
3. Develop curriculum to be used in orienting and educating providers and staff in the specialty clinics to medical record documentation guidelines and standards and to diagnostic and procedural coding conventions and methodologies.
4. Assist in specialty coding educational sessions with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Risk Based Coding.
5. Coding compliance resource and consultant for all physicians and advance practice providers, company administrators and physician practice staff.
6. Prepare and submit compliance reports to the compliance committee.
