Responsibilities

• Reviews general ledger accounts and corrects journal entries.
• Performs account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
• Maintains general ledger chart of accounts.
• Conducts initial internal control evaluations.
• Ascertains whether company assets are properly accounted for and safeguarded from loss.
• Posts monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
• Constructs routine spreadsheet applications, prepares financial data for input into finance systems, and generates reports.
• Performs calculations which may include interest and depreciation.
• Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records; assists in development of budget and special financial reports.
• Prepares, reviews, and processes budget, revenue, expense, payroll, and related correcting entries and may prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and Board of Directors.
• May coordinate and monitor data processing batches including suspense control, cash counts, and balancing.
• May assist in audits and prepare audit work papers.
• Observes confidentiality policies at all times.
• Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance .
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in General Ledger Accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
