We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veteran Homeless Program Coordinator to lead statewide efforts to end veteran homelessness in Arizona. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by designing and implementing a comprehensive plan that unifies federal, state, and local resources. Please note: This is an in-person, local-only role. Candidates must currently reside in the Phoenix, AZ area and be available for an in-person interview within one week of the posting close date. What You'll Do: Strategic Planning: Design, coordinate, and implement a statewide plan to end veteran homelessness, aligning with all relevant resources and stakeholders. Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact between government agencies, non-profits, housing providers, and veteran service organizations. Program Expertise: Apply your deep knowledge of federal veteran housing programs such as HUD-VASH, SSVF, and CoC to inform strategies. Project Management: Oversee the initiative's progress, from data analysis to program evaluation. Community Engagement: Occasionally work evenings or weekends to attend community events and stakeholder meetings. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Public Health, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master's preferred). Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in homelessness services, veteran services, or large-scale program coordination. Expertise: Deep understanding of the challenges faced by veterans experiencing homelessness. Skills: strong project management, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation. Travel: Ability to travel throughout Arizona. Preferred Qualifications: Military service or a background working closely with veteran populations. Familiarity with Arizona's homeless service delivery system. Experience managing federal and state grants. bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
