The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining vendor relationships. This role is critical to the financial health of our distribution center, requiring meticulous attention to detail in matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices, as well as an understanding of inventory impacts. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess analytical skills, and be proficient in accounting software and data entry. Responsibilities

This role is critical to the financial health of our distribution center, requiring meticulous attention to detail in matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices, as well as an understanding of inventory impacts. 

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within a distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment. 
• Experience with 3-way matching and inventory-related invoices is highly desirable.
  • Perform meticulous 3-way matching of purchase orders (PO), receiving documents (e.g., packing slips, receiving reports), and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in pricing, quantity, or terms with purchasing, receiving, and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to obtain necessary documentation or clarification.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts payable function.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations.
    • Understand the impact of AP processes on inventory valuation and financial reporting.
