Responsibilities
- Manage Employee Records and Benefits: Maintain and update employee records and benefits files. Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and claims.
- Benefits Communication and Support: Plan, schedule, and conduct monthly retirement enrollment sessions for newly eligible employees. Advise and inform employees of the details of the company's benefit programs, and resolve benefit-related issues and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Compliance and Reporting: In collaboration with payroll, report all employee attendance status changes. Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.
- Strategic Benefits Evaluation: Research new employee benefit plans and vendors. Liaise with vendors, negotiating and coordinating contracts for new and existing plans. Evaluate the efficiency and value of current benefit programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Payroll and HR Coordination: Collaborate with payroll to ensure that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and on time. Prepare separation notices for employees and conduct exit interviews for those leaving the agency.
