cost accountant - business analysis.

We are seeking a senior cost accountant position to help manage all aspects of Manufacturing and Production costing analysis and inventory for all our business locations. The cost accountant is responsible for comparing standard cost to actual cost and identifying and explaining variances by customer, part number and production jobs. The cost accountant must also work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve variances and adjust Bills of Materials (BOM’s). 

salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities

Cost Accountant Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with cost accounting software and ERP systems.
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or similar credential.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with cost accounting standards and practices in specific industries.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role.
• In-depth understanding of cost accounting and budgeting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
• strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
