Responsibilities
organizes and coordinates the manufacturing process to ensure products are made on time, efficiently, and within budget.
- Develop production processes and routings that maximize efficiency
- Release all component orders to production complete with proper routers and materials to execute production.
- Manage process documentation and prepare production reports
- Develop standard production times by working with engineering and manufacturing management.
- Review production information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
- Contact vendors from time to time
- Input purchase request for materials/purchase items for jobs
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure quantities are sufficient for stock
- Work with shop floor personnel to see what items are missing from jobs
- Obtain quotes on buy items, or do research to find alternatives
- Routing of new items, reviewing Bill of Materials and assemblies as well as accuracy of data input.
