- 5-7 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role overseeing multi-location or multinational AP processes.
- Proven experience in implementing or significantly upgrading AP software.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian tax regulations.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (P21, Spire, or similar) and SQL experience strongly preferred.
- A hands-on leader with excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A customer service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Lead a team of Accounts Payable professionals, providing mentorship, training, and guidance to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Oversee the end-to-end AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payment runs, and month-end close activities for both US and Canadian currencies.
- Drive heavy automation initiatives, including managing the implementation and optimization of new AP automation software across multiple locations.
- Utilize your tech-savvy skills and understanding of computer logic to identify and fix broken processes, improving efficiency and controls.
- Perform queries using SQL to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Manage high-volume, multi-site operations, including weekly/daily check runs and reconciliation of corporate and purchase card programs.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax, GST, and HST.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, optimizing payment terms and resolving disputes.
