Our client, located in Cary, NC is hiring Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technicians to work in a fast paced call center setting! In this role, you'll be responsible for helping patients access the medications they need by managing the prior authorization process from start to finish. This is a crucial role that requires a high level of detail, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care!  

salary: $19 - $25 per hour

work hours: 9:30 AM - 8:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Managing patient cases: You'll handle inbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and manufacturers, and make outbound calls to follow up on patient cases. You will also acquire and submit clinical documentation from providers' offices to ensure a patient's therapy is approved.
• Prior authorization submissions: You will submit clinical documentation to insurance companies in the specific format they require, and follow up in a timely manner to check for approvals.
• Documentation: You will document accurate progress notes on 25-30 calls per day and follow standard operating procedures to maintain accurate records.
• Team collaboration: You'll communicate with your team and leader to ensure all patient needs are met.
