Randstad is seeking an experienced Procurement & Production Planner with a minimum of 5 years of experience.  This role will manage the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and vendor negotiations to maintaining supplier relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production planning and order fulfillment based on forecasts and scheduling by working with the Operations Manager to determine production timeframes, packaging requirements and time to deliver. Experience working as a Planner/Buyer in a manufacturing environment is a MUST HAVE.  If you have experience with medical device manufacturing, such as injection molding machines that is a huge PLUS!! Responsibilities

Procurement and Inventory Management:

• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including managing purchase orders and expediting incoming products.
  
  
• Set up and manage new vendors.
  
  
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.
  
  
• Monitor procurement KPIs and analyze reports to improve service levels and inventory turnover.
  
  

Production and Sales Planning:

• Execute rough and detailed production planning for injection molding machines and assembly orders.
  
  
• Translate sales forecasts and customer orders into production requirements.
  
  
• Schedule orders and coordinate with the order management group and sales teams.
  
  
• Manage production deadlines and initiate corrective actions for any deviations.
  
  

Supplier and Internal Coordination:

• Work closely with corporate procurement to implement global strategies and policies.
  
  
• Communicate effectively with customer service, order entry, and sales teams.
  
  
• Coordinate with third-party service partners and contract manufacturers.
  
  
• Adjust order quantities based on changes in business needs.
  
  

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline costs and increase the quality of procurement and logistics.
