Responsibilities
Case Investigation: Assist in the initial investigation products and the alleged defect. Review documents from both the client and the manufacturer, such as product manuals, design specifications, safety warnings, and marketing materials.
Discovery Process: Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories (written questions) and requests for production of documents. Organize and manage the evidence collected, which can include expert reports, witness statements, and product testing data.
Evidence and Document Management: Organize, index, and maintain a secure and accessible database of all case documents.
Trial Preparation: Prepare exhibits, organize trial notebooks, coordinate with expert witnesses, and help draft motions and briefs.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations to support the attorney's arguments, focusing on areas like negligence, strict liability, and breach of warranty claims.
Client and Witness Communication: Act as a liaison between the attorney and the client, as well as with witnesses and experts, scheduling depositions and providing updates on the case status.
