We're looking for a detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and accurately. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing expense reports, handling vendor payments, and maintaining precise financial records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to accuracy.

salary: $22 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Manages and reconciles financial records: You will receive, verify, and process expense reports, ensuring they align with account balances and office records.
  
  
• Oversees vendor payments: This includes verifying vendor information, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving any discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  
  
• Maintains accurate ledgers: You'll assist in managing accounting records by reconciling monthly statements and transactions, ensuring all outstanding obligations are properly credited and identifying opportunities for discounts.
  
  
• Handles petty cash: You will be responsible for recording, verifying, and distributing petty cash, and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
  
  
• Processes sales tax: You will calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
