Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake interviews and assess eligibility for housing assistance programs such as Section 8, Rapid Rehousing, or other local/state-funded housing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with program guidelines and confidentiality standards.
- Assist clients in identifying suitable housing options and communicate with landlords to facilitate lease agreements.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with housing program requirements, including conducting annual or interim re-certifications and inspections.
- Provide case management and referrals to supportive services (e.g., employment support, financial counseling, legal aid).
- Ensure timely processing of housing applications, rent calculations, and subsidy payments.
- Respond to inquiries from clients, landlords, and partner agencies professionally and promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of HUD and other relevant housing regulations, fair housing laws, and community resources.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by internal leadership and funding agencies.
