We're looking for a Biologist to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in advancing plant biotechnology. Responsibilities

What You'll Do

This role is centered on supporting our product development through a variety of lab-based activities. You'll be involved in:

• High-Throughput Assays: You'll perform high-throughput transient expression assays, including isolating eukaryotic cells and performing transfections using automated liquid handling systems. You'll conduct cell-based assays (like luminescence and imaging) and prepare materials for further analysis. You will also analyze data using visualization software like Excel and Spotfire to generate quality control reports.
• Automation and Instrumentation: You'll learn and operate automation programs and image analysis routines to make our workflows more efficient. With guidance, you will troubleshoot automation errors and help maintain and calibrate lab instruments.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree with at least 1-3 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for non-degreed candidates.
• A broad understanding of scientific principles and instrumentation related to cellular and/or molecular biology. While not mandatory, experience in plant biology is a significant advantage.
• The ability to learn new techniques quickly and take coaching well.
